This
Sunday morning we begin a new series entitled “Hero’s”. There is a distinct
difference between a hero and a celebrity. Our society seems to be fascinated
and driven by individuals who possess power or physical beauty and or large
sums of wealth. These individuals seem to have become the icons of our culture.
Yet through both biblical history and even the developing years of this great
republic we see how God used men and women of little means but large doses of
character and commitment. We are convinced that is what separates the celebrity
from the hero. We hope you will join us over the next few weeks as we explore
the scriptures and see how some very unlikely people turned out to do some
pretty incredible things. Oh, and don’t think that God can’t use you to be a
hero to someone.
