Next Step Class & Lunch
Our “Next Step” class is for those interested in knowing more about First Christian Church.  The class will be led by John Shelley on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 12:30 pm in room 142 (Six8).  Lunch and childcare will be provided.  Please email the church office, fill out the information card in the pews or sign up at the Ministry Center to let us know if you are interested in attending this class.

Motorcycle Group Meeting
All motorcycle riders, who are interested in forming a church motorcycle group, are invited to a meeting on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 9:00 am, here at the church.  Coffee and pastries will be served.  Please contact Tom Martinez if you have any questions.

Stroke Survivors Meeting
A new small group/ministry has been created for Stroke Survivors and their spouses.  The group meets the first Sunday of each month at 4:00 pm in room 217.  If you would like to be a part of this support group, simply come, no sign up needed.  The next meeting will be Sunday, Feb. 1.  Contact Norm Darling or Greg Bee if you have questions.

Circle of Faith
Circle of Faith is meeting Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Ardeth Andrews’ home at 7:00 pm.  Carpoolers meet at the church at 6:30 pm.  RSVP to Ardeth (407-846-7957) if you will be coming.   Please bring powdered or single serve drinks, instant coffee or tea, and cereal bars for the young men at Grace Landing.

M.O.P.S. (Mothers of Preschoolers)
All mothers of preschoolers (birth to Kindergarten) are invited to our MOPS meeting on Thursday, Feb. 12, 9:30 - 11:30 am, at the church.  There is no charge for the meetings.  MOPS meets here at the church the 2nd Thursday of each month.  Contact Diane Lytle, MOPS Coordinator, for more information, 407-933-5096.


Men’s Breakfast
Our next Men’s Breakfast is Saturday, Feb. 14, 8:00 am here at the church.  Come and enjoy a great breakfast and an opportunity to pray, encourage and fellowship as men who value the role of being a godly man in an often times spiritually depleted culture.  Please sign up at the Ministry Center.

Singles Ministry
We will be taking a trip to the Amway Arena to watch the New Orleans Pelicans take on our own Orlando Magic.  Game is Friday, February 20, at 7:00 pm.  The church bus will be leaving at 6:00 pm.  Tickets are $15 (make payable to First Christian Church).  See Jim Book for more details.  We have a block of 15 tickets reserved - first come first served!

Music by Art Bush and Steven Foster.  For more information email thecra@thecra.org.  Sponsored by Central Florida Ministers Association and the Christian Restoration Association.

CIY Believe - Feb. 27-28

Attention middle schoolers!  It’s time again for CIY Believe!  This is an amazing worship event designed specifically for middle school students!  You won’t want to miss out!  The cost is $80.  All money is due no later than Sunday, Jan. 25th.  (There is a $10 late fee after that date).  Sign up today!  Contact Chris with any questions.

On Saturday, January 17, 9:00 am to noon, Dave Butts from Harvest Prayer Ministry will be conducting a three hour workshop entitled “The Power of a Praying Church”.

Our Singles Ministry is having a pitch-in supper at Jim & Jeanette Books’ home this Saturday, Jan. 10, at 6:30 pm.  Please bring your favorite dish to share.  Sign up in the Café if you plan on attending.

 Family Rock!  Sunday - Jan. 11
As we begin our new year we are inviting all families of middle and high school students to attend our KICK OFF EVENT on January 11, 5:00 - 7:00 pm.  Dinner will be served at 5:00 pm followed by our worship event.  The whole family is welcome to join with your student!  This event will take place in the Fellowship Center.  Please sign up at Home Base!  Contact Chris with any questions!

New Small Group
The Solivita/Poinciana small group will start at Ron & Carol Smith’s home at 692 Shorehaven Dr. Tuesday night, January 13th, 7:00 pm.  We will be meeting every other Tuesday.  Anyone planning to attend should call Carol Smith (281)793-2434 or e-mail her at claude15nj@aol.com.  Carol will give instructions on how to go through security at the entry gate.  We will be using a DVD series by Ray Vander Laan called “Walking with God in the Desert”.  He walks through the Holy Land area with a group of people as he teaches.  Are you going through a difficult period of life?  The loss of a loved one?  Unemployment?  A crisis of faith?  During these desert times, it’s easy to think God has disappeared.  Instead, discover that it’s only when we are totally dependent on Him that we find Him closer than ever and can experience God’s amazing grace and provision. 


Use your attendance card on Sunday to sign up for the Wednesday night (5:30 pm) family meal or call the church office on Monday to make reservations for you and your family.
