is a great program for moms and their kids’ birth to 5 years. M.O.P.S. meets here at the church on the 2nd Thursday
of each month during the school year.

childcare for MOPS in the past or are interested in helping, Sherell Roseberry
would like to meet you. Come by the church on Tuesday, September 1st at
3:00 p.m. in the
Fellowship Hall. If you are unable to stop by on that day, please be sure to

New Sermon Series “Life is a classroom”
When you stop and consider your experience in school you realize that life
is a class room. As Christians our key text book is the Bible. The ultimate
teacher is Jesus and at the end of life it comes down to passing or failing. Heaven
or Hell. How we perform in the class room of life, how well we listen to the
instructions of our teacher and how well we grasp the truths from scripture
will ultimately determine our future.
Widow’s
Ministry “Lunch & Movie Event”
The Widow’s Ministry invites you attend their
next event on Saturday, Aug. 29.
We’ll meet at the church and board the bus at 10:30 am. We will have lunch at
BJ’s then head over to the Regal Theater to view the 1:00 pm showing of “War
Room”. A movie by the award-winning creators of Fireproof and Courageous, a
compelling drama with humor and heart that explores the power that prayer can
have on marriages, parenting, careers, friendships, and every other area of our
lives. S.O.S. are invited to attend. Cost per movie tickets is $9.00. For more

Infinite
& Matrix Fall Kick-off
Infinite and Matrix will
kick off Sunday night, Aug. 30, from
5:00 - 7:00 pm. God has some HUGE things
for us this year! Invite your friends
and help us kick-off in a BIG way! Infinite
(high school) will be in the youth room (206) and Matrix (middle school) will
be in the Fellowship Center (128A/D).
Parents: you won’t want your students to miss! It’s going to be a great year! See you then!!
Women’s
Ministry Brings You Fitness Classes
Every Monday night at 7:00 p.m. (starting Aug. 31) and Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m. (starting Sept. 3) our women’s ministry
will bring you… women’s fitness classes!!! Come stretch, strengthen and get
your sweat on while improving your balance, range of motion, and getting your
heart pumping. Enjoy fun, and fellowship all while finding your fit! Cost per 1
hour class will be $5.00. Please bring a mat, water bottle, tennis shoes, and
wear flexible (modest) clothing. Classes will be held in the church. Class will
be instructed by Heather Woods, CPT.
Circle of Faith
Circle of Faith will meet on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, @ 7:00 PM in
the home of Thyra Thomas. Please let Thyra know if you plan to attend. She can

Bible Bowl
It's a new season for Bible
Bowl! We have a new coach, new practice format and game changes to make
it more fun for all players. Bible Bowl is a great way for 6th - 12th
grade student to learn the Bible more deeply and develop their character in a
competitive Christian environment. Come and see what the excitement is
about!! We will host an information meeting on Tuesday, September 1st at 6:30 pm in Room
104. Students, parents and interested helpers are all welcome!

engaged educational programs that our experts prepare and that our volunteers
present at weekly meetings. Our members focus on improvement not perfection.
Together we recognize and celebrate its member’s victories, big & small.

Rock
The Universe - Sept. 11
This year we will be taking high school students to Rock
the Universe at Universal Studios. Rock
the Universe is an amazing worship event with headliners Switchfoot, Newsboys, and Crowder!!! The cost for this event is $60 a person. We will meet at the church at 4:00 pm and
return by 1:30 am for pick-up. All money
is due no later than Sunday, Aug. 30. There is a $10 late fee after the date. Contact Bob Mehlenbacher with any
questions!
Connections & Confections
To kick-off
2015-16 the Women's Ministry Team invites you to join us for Connections &
Confections, a Women's Ministry Fair on, September 14 at 7:00 PM. Bring
your favorite dessert and the recipe to share. We welcome desserts from every
culture. Visit a variety of ministry booths and learn about the many
opportunities available to connect with other women in our church.
Children’s Ministry Collecting Bug Spray
This Sunday, August 30th,
will be the last day that the Children's Ministry will be collecting unused/brand
new bottles of bug spray. Let's be a HUGE blessing to the Outreach Ministry and
reach that goal of 80 bottles. Thanks so much for giving!
Child Care Volunteers Needed

Ministerio de Soldados de Las Fuerzas Armadas
¡El personal militar al qué le enviamos cajas en agradecimiento por su
servicio están muy agradecidos! Pasen por la exhibición de (FOG) “Pies en el
Suelo” y lean algunas de sus mas recientes notas de gratitud. Es su apoyo a
este ministerio el que nos permite mandar estas cajas cada mes. El próximo
envío de estas cajas es el viernes 28 de
agosto. Todavía necesitamos $100.00 para cubrir los gastos de envío. Ademas
necesitamos bolsas de dulces de caramelos duros, chicles, galletas con queso,
atún y pollo enlatado. Les agradecemos de antemano sus generosas donaciones.

Evento del Mininsterio de Viudas
El Ministerio de Viudas las invita asistir su próximo
evento el sábado, 29 de agosto. Nos
reuniremos en la iglesia y alojaremos el autobús a las 10:30 am. Almorzaremos
en BJ's y a las 1:00 pm veremos a la nueva película “ Sala de Guerra”. La
película fue producida por los hermanos Stephen y Alex Kendrick que produjeron
“Courageous” (“Valeroso”) y “Fireproof”
(“Prueba de fuego”). “War Room” (“Sala de guerra”) es un nuevo película sobre
el poder de la oración. La trama muestra como la oración puede tener un impacto
poderoso en los matrimonios, las carreras, las relaciones y otras áreas de la
vida. Mujeres solteras con 60 años o mas de edad también son

Infinite y Matrix Kick-off

Ministerio de Mujeres Patrocinan
Clases para Mejorar su Estado Físico
El
ministerio de mujeres ofrecerá clases de ejercicio para mejorar su estado
físico!!! El horario de clases sera: los
lunes a las 7:00 pm (empezando 8/31)
y los jueves a las 10:00 am (empezando
9/3) en la iglesia. Venga a estirarse, a mejorar
su equilibrio mientras mejoran su balance y rango de movimiento. Divertanse y
disfruten del compañerismo con sus hermanas cristianas.Las clases durarán una
hora y el costo por clase será $5.00. Por favor traiga una estera, botella de
agua, zapatos tenis y ropa flexible(y modesta). La
clase será instruida por la hermana Heather Woods, CPT (Entrenadora Personal
Certificada).
Círculo de Fe

Equipo de Boliche Bíblico
¡Es una nueva
temporada para el equipo de Boliche Bíblico! Tenemos
un nuevo entrenador, un nuevo formato de práctica y cambios para hacerlo más
divertido para todos los jugadores. El boliche bíblico es una gran manera para
estudiantes, entre el sexto al décimo segunda grado (6º - 12º), aprender a
conocer la Biblia más profundamente y desarrollar su carácter competitivo en un
ambiente cristiano. ¡Ven a descubrir la emoción del equipo de Boliche Bíblico!
Tendremos una reunión para compartir información
del equipo el martes, 1º de septiembre a las 6:30 en el salon 104. Invitamos
a todo estudiante, padre y personas interesadas a participar en esta reunión!

Rock the Universe—Sept. 11
Este año vamos a llevar a los
estudiantes de la secundaria al evento “Rock the Universe” en Universal Studio.

Para lanzar el año 2015-16 el

receta tambien. Postres típicos de todas las culturas serán recibidos con mucha
alegría. Visiten una variedad de kioscos con información sobre varios
ministerios y discruba la muchas oportunidades disponibles para conectarse con
otras mujeres en nuestra iglesia.
Coleccionan Repelenta
de Insectos
Durante el mes
de agosto, el Ministerio de Niños coleccionará latas o botellas nuevas
de repelenta de insectos. Estaremos donaremoso los repelentes al Ministerio de
Alcance para distribuir entre sus
miembros. Pueden dejar sus donaciones en la caja de recogida que se encuentra
en el mostrador de registro de los niños.
Reclutación de Voluntarios de Cuido de Niños
El Ministerio Celebremos la Recuperación está
buscando voluntarios responsables para cuidar niños los viernes. ¡Si le
gusta trabajar con niños, entonces esta es la oportunidad perfecta para usted!
